Elevator Speech?
One of the greatest challenges I face in my work as the Executive Director of an Asset Based Community Development organization is explaining to the world what Embrace Richmond does in 30 seconds or less. Today our board decided to help me tackle that challenge by coming up with a new tag line and talking points that we can all use to make this easier.
So here is are the suggestions so far:
Transforming Distressed Communities from the Inside Out
Strengthening Distressed Communities by Strengthening Residents
Building People who Strengthen Communities
Helping Distressed Communities Help Themselves
Please add your suggestions below or cast your vote for the phrase that you think best describes Embrace or that gets you excited about what Embrace Richmond does.
If you suggest the winning phrase, you will receive an autographed copy of my book and a lovely Embrace Richmond T-shirt. So don’t be shy – share your ideas.
Thank you for your suggestions!

Healing from the inside out.
Thanks Lee!
Sarah Parkinson proposed “Helping Distressed Communities Help Themselves” and I think that is my favorite so far.
Thanks Wendy but I feel like it needs a marketing person to make the words more “flowery”…
